How Will You Know??

How will you know how much you are appreciated, unless someone tells you??

First off, I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and Santa was good to you. ;)  As for me, mom bought the husband and I a Keurig, yay! Although I don't drink coffee myself, I can also make green tea and white hot chocolate in that bad boy. Oh yeah! Thanks mom. :)

Now back to the topic at hand.. How will you really know how much you are appreciated unless someone shows you or simply tells you? The answer to that is...you will not know..

Through the years I have worked at quite a few companies but I have never felt as appreciated as I do now.

Just to give you a little bit of a background, I hold the title of an Administrative Assistant which technically means I run the whole office.  At the prior jobs I worked at during the years I would bust my butt and rarely ever received a thank you because I didn't receive a thank you I began to feel unappreciated and when someone starts to feel unappreciated, what do they do, they start to not give a damn.  Don't get me wrong, I still did my job but the extra efforts and enthusiasm was no longer there.

Well low and behold the job I have been at for almost three years now, not once do I ever feel unappreciated.  Every single person in that office makes me feel appreciated even when I do the littlest of things. No one acts like they are to big to make another feel appreciated and that is what kindness is all about. With them just simply saying thank you, it actually makes me want to go the extra route to run the office properly because I know the hard work I put in is not just blown off because it is what I am suppose to do.

We must always remember that whether it's the office or a relationship we deserve to be appreciated because all  that we give is not because we have to give it but because we want to give it.  As a bonus, remember to show appreciation to others because  what you give you will receive.

Thanks so much for reading everyone and make sure to leave your comments below and tell me what simple actions make you feel appreciated.
