My answer to this question is yes, yes and yes but even in this day and age there are many that may disagree with me.
I was watching the new show "Up All Night," with Christina Applegate (very funny by the way) and I had to ask myself this question as it is still a major topic within society. It's 2011 ladies and there are so many of us making more money than our men now-a-days. We are achieving roles in the workforce that at one time could only be achieved by men and now we're giving the workforce a run for their money. Although this is a great step for women many in society may see it differently as they are caught up in the old school way of thinking, which is, the man being the breadwinner. Believe it or not within society there is still this huge stigma that the man is suppose to make more money, take care of the family, blah, blah, blah. I've even heard some women say they prefer there man to make more money because it's easier that way and people have less to talk about.
My thing is who cares about what others think it's about what makes your household happy. If a couple has come to the agreement that they are content with the woman being the breadwinner while the man takes care of other family aspects (being a stay at home dad for instance, cleaning house, etc) then what gives others a right to judge. Times have changed and so have the roles of women. Just because society may look down upon the role change as long as you and yours are comfortable with it that's all that matters.
Ladies your thoughts, do you prefer the old school way of thinking or does it not matter who makes more as long as the bills get paid?
